Delivered online using Teams

RIP_General_Time

10:00 - 12:30 Thursday, 26 March 2026

Join an open access event that will share work commissioned by the Department for Education to refresh the multi-agency Tackling Child Exploitation (TCE) Practice Principles for responding to child exploitation and extra-familial harm.

The refresh ensures the Practice Principles reflect the latest research evidence and align with recent policy developments. During the session, we will talk through the updates, highlighting where changes have been made in line with the strengthened evidence base, and explain how this connects to the current national context.

We will also introduce a new resource designed to support professionals and partnerships in applying the Practice Principles to child sexual exploitation. The session will include examples of how local areas across England are using the Practice Principles to strengthen systems and practice in relation to exploitation and extra-familial harm.

Designed for

The event is open to professionals across children’s and adults social care, education, policing, health and mental health, youth justice, the voluntary and community sector, academics and researchers, and others working with children, young people, families and communities affected by exploitation.
